TT-R230 is one of the best trail motorcycles out there in this segment. I recently got the Yamaha XT250 in black colour and it is the best dual sport bike in this segment. I was looking for an entry-level adventure bike with ample power and lightweight body. There are actually a lot of options in the 250cc segement. I also considered the KTM 250 Adventure but it is more of an road adventure bike and also i didn't needed the alloy wheels. The KTM 250 Adventure and Royale Enfield are among the best selling adventure bike in the entry level segment as per mototechindia news report. If Honda CRF250 was availble where i live, i would have also considedred it. in the end i test rode the XT250 and loved it, it is light, fast and handles great.
